Pics of Daemons

Back again today,

Here are some pics from my Daemon army that I've been working on.  It is heavily Slaanesh based but I'm looking to add in some Tzeentch as well soon.  Here are the pics;

Here's a Lord of Change that I just finished a couple of months ago.  I really liked how the colors turned out on the model.  The light blue gives the model a very bright color.

Next up is the Keeper of Secrets that I've had done for quite some time now.  I just redid the base so that he is better suited for 40K instead of fantasy.

Here are a couple of shots of my Daemon Price of Slaanesh.  Once again, I used that light blue to make the model stand out.  I think that the silver really sets off the model too.  If you'll notice, I did some green stuff work on the back to give him bulging muscles instead of the marine backpack look the model comes with.

That's it for now.  Stay tuned for more of my work.

Got in some Kill Team

Hello again all,

Last Thursday, I managed to get in 3 games of Kill Team with some friends (Matt, Adam, and Mike).  My White Scars Kill Team of 5 Scouts with Cloaks and 2 Attack Bikes did really well winning 2 out of the 3 games we played.  Here's what I used;

5 Scouts with Camo Cloaks (4 sniper rifles and 1 missile launcher)
2 Attack Bikes (1 with Multi-melta)

It was a very fun night regardless of if I had won or lost.  Those guys know how to have fun while playing 40K.

Help... Nurgle Got Me!

Hello once again,

I've been under the weather the past few days.  I blame the kids. :)  Anyhow, that's why I haven't posted anything lately.  I did manage to get a game in last Tuesday against a guy named Josh (paladin314 on the 40K Fight Club forums) and his Tau.  We played the Battle Book mission Vanguard and I squeaked out a win 2-0.  Here are a couple of pics from the game;

 In this picture,  Tactical Squad 1 and Bike Squadron 1 zoom up the left side of the board to eliminate a scoring squad of Kroot hidden in a crater.  They couldn't hide from the flames of the Emperor (and a lot of bolter fire).
Here we see two Typhoons racing up the board in order to get some shots off on a hammerhead.  They ended up doing alright as they gunned down one of the Tau Crisis Suit units later in the game.

Well, that's all for now.  See ya next time.

Weekend's Over... now get back to work.

Hey Gang,

With all the hubbub of a wife's birthday weekend, I didn't get much done in the way of 40K, painting, or anything else for that matter.  I'm hoping to shoot some new pictures (less blurry and more detailed) of my Scars stuff tonight.  I might even find my way to the painting table.  I know.... ::shock::

In the mean time, GW has released the FAQ for the Main Rule Book and the Grey Knights codex.  There are a few interesting tidbits in there and even some contradictions from existing rules from other FAQs.  That being said, it is nice that they are releasing the FAQs shortly after the codex releases.  It gives a big feeling of support from the GW.

Until next time,

-D

New 40K Missions

I'm back once again my friends,

Here are some mission I wrote for a 40K league that I just ran at Pandemonium in Garden City, MI.  Enjoy.

Mathuli Khan, Captain of the 5th Brotherhood, Master of the Marches

Greetings once again,

This time around I come offering a special character for my White Scars company.  His name is Mathuli Khan and he is the Captain of the 5th Brotherhood.  I used the character creation rules over at Globalsmack's blog to make him.  Check out the picture below for more details. Enjoy.

Oh... BTW... a Summer Campaign

While I'm thinking about it, my local group is kicking off a Summer campaign starting in July.  Here is the link to the campaign page on Facebook:

The Hunt For Jander Hope

Come check it out and "like" us if you want to keep up on the happenings of the campaign.  Additionally, you can follow the campaign on Twitter @JanderHope.

My White Scars

Hello again,

I figured I'd post up some pictures of my White Scars for general consumption and critique.  Here they are;

Here is Mathuli Khan, Khan of the 5th Brotherhood and Master of Marches.  Sorry if the picture is a little dark.  I'm going to try and take some better ones later.

 Here is the start of two of my bike squads.  One has 2 flamers, heavy bolter attack bike, and sgt. with power fist while the other has 2 meltaguns, multimelta attackbike, and sgt. with power fist.

Here is my first tactical squad and their rhino.  The tactical squad has a lascannon and meltagun for some antitank punch.
Next is my favorite unit in the space marine codex.  Typhoon speeders act like mobile devastator squads for my Scars army.  They work well as a unit that can take out infantry as well as some tanks and walkers.

This is my first 1500 or so points for the army.  My plan is to take it well above 3000.  I already have all of the models, I just need to paint them and do some minor conversion work.  Stay tuned for more pictures once I get some more of the units completed.

Michigan and GW gaming

Hello again,

I figured that I would drop this out there in case I get some new followers eventually to give them an idea what the gaming scene is like in our area.  I believe that, here in Michigan, we have one of the most diverse scenes for GW and other gaming.  Here is the active group that I belong to which I believe has a lot to offer players in the state;

40k Fight Club:  This is a forum based group that originated in the Lansing area and has branched out to several states.  Campaigns and leagues get posted here often, along with some pictures of nicely painted model and group discussion.  There are several "chapters" that one can join in different areas.

Welcome: The First Post

Hello to those reading this blog and welcome to my little piece of the blogosphere.  This blog is dedicated to all things Warhammer 40K that I do in my free time.  So, without further anticipation, let's get into it, shall we?
